Frontier Fiber Installation – Community Project Update
The Mews and Ridge at Rivington | October 2026
Project Overview
The Board of Directors approved the installation of Frontier fiber-optic infrastructure throughout The Mews and Ridge as a valuable enhancement to our community. The project will provide residents with modern fiber infrastructure and an additional choice for internet and related services.
Significant portions of the installation are now complete.
Installation Status and Anticipated Completion
Completed Work:
The Ridge: Fiber lines and individual connection boxes have been installed on the exterior of all buildings.
The Mews: Fiber installation within the interior common hallways of all buildings has been completed.
Remaining Work:
Frontier is installing fiber connections between the curbside connection boxes and the buildings.
The main underground fiber lines will then be installed to the curbside boxes, followed by the necessary connections and splicing to integrate the buildings into Frontier's network.
Frontier anticipates completing the remaining infrastructure installation by November 30, 2026, subject to weather, field conditions, and unforeseen installation challenges.
Infrastructure completion does not necessarily mean subscription services will be immediately available. Additional testing and activation may be required.
Landscaping and Common-Area Restoration
Some underground installation activities may temporarily disturb lawns, landscaped areas, or other common areas.
The Association will coordinate with Frontier regarding restoration of areas affected by its work. Restoration timing may depend on weather, ground conditions, and the appropriate planting season.
Residents should report any concerns to Felner Corporation rather than directing the contractors onsite.
Resident Cooperation During Installation
The exterior areas of The Ridge buildings and the interior common hallways of The Mews buildings are Association common areas. The Board has authorized Frontier and its contractors to perform the approved infrastructure work in these areas.
No resident approval, participation, or action is required for the current common-area installation.
To help ensure the project proceeds safely and efficiently, residents are asked to:
Allow contractors appropriate access to the areas where work is being performed.
Do not question, direct, stop, or otherwise interfere with contractors while they are working.
Direct questions, concerns, or observations to Felner Corporation rather than to contractors onsite.
Contractors need to remain focused on completing the approved work safely and efficiently. Management will coordinate any issues requiring Frontier's attention.
Frontier Subscription Services – Optional for All Residents
As the infrastructure installation approaches completion, Frontier will provide information about service plans, pricing, availability, and activation.
Subscribing to Frontier service is entirely optional. Residents are not required to change their current internet or related service provider.
Any future work requiring access inside an individual residence for a resident's chosen service will be coordinated separately by Frontier with that resident.
